I have decided to open a new category on my website, dedicated for photos. By the time this post is ready, you’ll see a new link next to “Blog” in the navigation bar at the top. I decided to do this after my Japan trip this year, since I accumulated a decent amount of shareable pictures. I prioritize a compact website footprint, so the pictures I upload in my posts are often small and heavily compressed. But I think it would be nice to have a gallery with higher quality images, hence the new photos category. Photography is also an activity that I am interested in pursuing as a hobby.
So that’s the story: a new ‘gallery’ category on this website. I’ll still try to keep each image reasonable in size, but be aware that the average image size will be considerably bigger than blog posts!
