I believe I am starting to run out of ramen places to review. But there’s still a few places left that I’m aware of (or I could do revisits), so here’s another review until I run out.
Oji Seichi is located by Gerrard and Broadview. They have a relatively small menu with only 4 ramen dishes. Other items include sandwiches, gyoza, and dessert.
Food
Oji Classic Shio Ramen + Extra Noodles ($19 + $2)
The extra noodles I ordered are not in the picture. I usually get shoyu ramen dishes, but felt like trying shio this time.
The broth was good. It had a mix of pork, chicken, and ginger flavours. Combined with the salt seasoning, the broth was rich without being too overwhelming. It was very solid overall, but I think the broth was a bit too salty; somewhere between normal broth and tsukemen broth, so I wouldn’t recommend trying to drink all of it.
The other toppings were well prepared; I liked the pork slices and the soft boiled egg. The noodles were fine.
Thoughts
Taste wise, I liked Oji Seichi. I enjoyed the broth (even though it was quite salty), and the toppings and noodles were nicely prepared. No complaints.
Oji Seichi also came out with the food the fastest of all ramen place I’ve reviewed, so it might be a bonus point for people who want to eat fast.
